Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing and directing the business intelligence (BI) development and engineering team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient BI solutions. Accountable for leading the design and implementation of BI projects, contributing to the strategic decision-making process.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Defines the overall BI strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives.

• Manages BI development resources, budgets, and project timelines. Mentors junior developers and provides technical guidance.

• Leads and manages BI development projects from design to implementation.

• Optimizes report performance and identifies areas for improvement.

• Develops reusable templates and promotes best practices within the BI team.

• Identifies and implements new BI technologies and best practices.

• Oversees data governance and ensures data security compliance.

• Builds strong relationships with business departments and stakeholders.

Nature and Scope

• Solutions require analysis and investigation.

• Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.

• Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.

Work Environment

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

• This is a REMOTE position.

• 10+ years of experience in BI development or related field - REQUIRED.

• Extensive experience in designing and implementing enterprise-level BI solutions - REQUIRED.

• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance regulations - REQUIRED.

• Proven leadership skills to motivate and manage a BI development team - REQUIRED.

• Deep understanding of business needs and translating them into data-driven solutions - REQUIRED.
