Robert Half Inventory Clerk in Thornton, Illinois

Description

We are seeking a 2ND SHIFT Inventory Clerk for our manufacturing facility located in THORNTON, Illinois. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring accuracy of both finished goods and raw and packaging material stock, and liaising with different departments to maintain efficient production operations. This role offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the reconciliation of process orders, ensuring the accuracy of finished products and raw and packaging materials for each production run.

• Verify and correct all returns, reconciling each staging and line location.

• Communicate with shift leads and supervisors for any process order discrepancy, logging and reporting all discrepancies.

• Investigate any inventory issues that are found during operation and monitor all staging locations utilized during daily operations.

• Perform clerical duties such as reporting all daily activities and notes in a shift summary and reporting KPI numbers from each production day.

• Use MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations for inventory management and daily production tasks.

• Conduct cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.

• Work independently while following deadlines and communicate effectively with all departments and management levels.

• Adapt to system and process changes ensuring the smooth running of operations.

• Uphold, follow, and maintain the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing.

Requirements • Proficiency in MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is essential.

• Demonstrated experience in Cycle Count is required.

• Must have the ability to manage Daily Production tasks effectively.

• Experience in conducting Annual Inventory is needed.

• Should be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical.

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.

• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying potential issues.

• Must possess strong analytical skills for inventory management.

• Knowledge of inventory control and record-keeping procedures.

• Comfortable working with computer systems for data entry and record management.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

• Strong understanding of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
