Montcalm Area Intermediate School District Occupational Therapist in Stanton, Michigan
*Salary: *Wage and benefits to be in accordance with the Master Agreement for Certified Staff.
*Certification/Qualifications: *
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (required);
- Evidence of full licensure for an occupational therapist through the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) (required) and National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT);
- Experience working with all school-aged groups (preschool through age 26)
- Experience developing parent training and support programs;
- Experience and knowledge of special education guidelines for qualifying for school-based services;
- Experience in the development of IEPs;
- Experience in case management for preschool through age 26
- Experience providing consultative services to adults in a variety of settings;
- Expertise in mentoring other colleagues and supervise COTAs in and outside of the profession;
- Skilled in provision of oral-motor treatment, sensory processing difficulties, and developing compensatory and treatment strategies;
- Skilled in evaluation of pre-school and school aged children with standardized and non-standardized methods.
