DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Security Officer 1, you will be responsible for patrolling our state facility to protect and guard our property/facility or persons from fire, theft, trespass, or other hazards. In order to maintain a safe and secure environment, you will patrol grounds by car and on foot and make rounds of buildings, grounds, parking, and storage areas to check for theft, trespass, and violation of fire and safety rules and regulations. You will also answer telephone calls and assist visitors, residents, and employees by providing directions and information. In addition, you will conduct investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing victims, witnesses, and suspects.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment (8 hours/day; 40 hours/week) Work hours are 2nd shift (4:00 PM to 12:00 AM), rotating schedule and working every other weekend. Lunch Period: 30 minutes Overtime and travel as needed. May change based on operational needs. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirement: No previous experience or training required.

Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C Driver's License. Additional Requirement: You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required): Willingness to work in Spring City, Chester County, Pennsylvania. Willingness to work a permanent, full-time schedule. Experience in security such as patrolling grounds and buildings; checking for violation of fire safety rules and regulations; checking locks/lights of buildings or offices; answering phone calls related to security concerns/emergencies; assisting and offering customer service to visitors/public; approaching unauthorized persons to prevent loitering; assisting with police investigations; working with fire/safety panels, such as addressing alarms and resetting trouble codes; working with disaster and emergency preparedness plans; and operating surveillance/security equipment and monitors. Experience in a nursing-type facility searching for missing residents or assisting residents during an emergency. Legal Requirements:
