The Keg Picker is responsible for picking and loading keg orders accurately and efficiently onto trucks using power industrial equipment supplied by the Company to fill customer orders. He or she maintains the safety/sanitation/security of the Logistics environment and appropriately handles all materials following company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Six months of experience in a similar position preferred

  • Experience in operating a pallet jack, forklift and other power equipment preferred

    Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick and load kegs into trucks to fill customer orders

  • Operate forklift and order pick to transport kegs within the warehouse

  • Regularly lift and move kegs weighing 50-165 pounds

  • Maintain hourly performance goals

  • Receive daily assigned load sheet/truck

  • Stand up, lift, roll, and stack kegs into the truck

  • Complete quality control when location inaccuracy is determined

  • Visually verify the quantity, size, and product type loaded and capture a picture of the load when completed for auditing purposes

  • Assist with physical inventories as required

  • Perform and submit a daily power equipment checklist to the appropriate manager

  • Report any safety or mechanical problems with power equipment through technology

  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner

  • Conduct operations and maintain the facility in a neat, clean, orderly, and safe manner

  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse

    Working Conditions

  • Able to maintain very high proficiency and job standards while working in a non-temperature controlled environment that includes exposure to heat, high humidity, and inclement weather

  • Able to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels and some dust and fumes from power equipment

    Physical Requirements and Essential Functions

  • Regular, reliable attendance required

  • Able to perform greater than average lifting up to 180 lbs

  • Able to operate a hand truck, pallet jack and/or forklift

  • Able to stand and walk, reach with arms and hands, lift and carry, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel

  • Able to stack, un-stack, and roll large amounts of product throughout the day

  • Must have specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision and the ability to judge distance
