Mercury Electronics Accounting Supervisor in Seven Valleys, Pennsylvania

Mercury Electronics has a challenging opportunity available for a talented, enthusiastic, and motivated Accounting Supervisor. Under the general direction of the President, the Accounting Supervisor will provide oversight and support to Accounting Department. This position has high visibility within the company. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
  • Supervise, assist, and cover for accounting clerks
  • Compile statistical, financial, accounting, or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses.
  • Prepare bank deposits by compiling data from cashiers, verifying and balancing receipts, and sending cash, checks, or other forms of payment to banks.
  • Perform financial calculations, such as amounts due, interest charges, balances, discounts, equity, and principal
  • Directing the day-to-day operations of the 401k plan to ensure compliance
  • Manage year-end 401k discretionary match contributions
  • Create and execute all communications and education for all employees eligible for 401k plan
  • Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding 401k matters
  • Process, verify, and maintain all payroll records, including employee-requested changes and procedures
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

     

Qualifications/Requirements:

Candidate qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Excellent organization and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment set priorities, manage projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions and handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Self-starter with a high sense of urgency and an ability to multi-task, prioritize work and coordinate various activities simultaneously while under pressure
  • Knowledge of current and evolving GAAP, Federal and state laws and regulations
  • Experience with the following software is required:

``` - ERP and/or database systems - Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook & Word)

``` - Experience with a manufacturing company or Epicor Kinetic ERP is a plus - Candidates must have the ability to occasionally work overtime.
