UnitedHealth Group Radiology Technologist in Rio Rancho, New Mexico

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine diagnostic imaging procedures in support of diagnostic services as requested by a licensed medical provider

  • Provide general clerical support duties to include scheduling patients and answering phones

  • Maintains credentials and/or licensure

  • Attends and participates in departmental staff meetings

  • Maintains and monitors departmental equipment

  • Collects data and maintains supply levels

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Sciences or Graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Program

  • Radiography License in the State of NM

  • Current BLS and ARRT (R) Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of related experience in a hospital setting

  • Basic computer knowledge

  • Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and Radiation Safety procedures

  • Proven ability to problem solve

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and exercise sound judgment

Physical Demands:

  • Standing frequently

  • Sitting occasionally

  • Walking frequently

  • Kneeling/Crouching frequently

  • Lifting up to 50 lbs
