About the team
This role will be in the Chief Strategy Officer's organization and will be a key decision maker to help grow the Worldpay organization. You will be a direct report into the Head of Strategy and Acquisitions.
What you will be doing
Direct and oversee merger, acquisition and divestiture activities of the corporation in support of overall Worldpay strategic objectives. Specific activities will include:
- Leading our sourcing efforts, building effective relationships with Banks, PE firms and management teams.
- Ensuring our end-to-end M&A process is optimized across the organization.
- Leading operational and commercial diligence workstreams, including management discussions, to assess current-state operations and future implications of acquisitions.
- Assessing cost and revenue base of target businesses, estimating synergy opportunities, and setting post-close goals.
- Ensuring synergies are incorporated into valuation models.
- Developing earnings analysis by assessing the quality and sustainability of the target company's reported earnings and achievability of the forecast (adjusted earnings)
- Analyze target company data for working capital considerations and potential liabilities and risks which impact valuation.
What you bring:
- 5+ years of professional experience, probably in an Investment Bank, Private Equity firm or transaction focused consulting role.
- Great senior-level relationship builder
- Exceptional analytical, project management, and executive skills
- Excellent communication skills, capable of motivating and achieving consensus at all levels
- Extensive knowledge of M&A processes; including due diligence and initial integration planning
- A demonstrated strategic mindset and passion for creating and driving value
- The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work within tight deadlines
- Experience working in Payments Industry is desirable
