Job Overview:The Customer Service Advisor plays a pivotal role in our company, serving as the first point of contact for our clients. This position is ideal for someone who excels in customer service and wishes to start or quickly advance their career in the insurance industry. You will be responsible for answering customer calls, responding promptly to emails, managing account renewals proactively, processing payments, and ensuring accurate data entry into our CRM system, EPIC. This role requires a passion for helping others, attention to detail, and a commitment to going above and beyond for client retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for client inquiries via phone and email, providing timely and empathetic responses.
  • Proactively manage account renewals, ensuring clients are informed and satisfied with their insurance solutions.
  • Process customer service requests with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Take and process payments, maintaining meticulous financial records.
  • Ensure all client interactions and transactions are accurately recorded in our CRM system.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by providing exceptional service.
  • Achieve licensing in insurance (if not already licensed) with the support and expense coverage of Flatlands Jessup Insurance Group.

Qualifications:

  • Proven customer service experience, preferably in the insurance industry or a related field
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, particularly EPIC, is highly desirable.
  • High school diploma required; further education or certifications in insurance or related fields is a plus
  • Must be willing to obtain insurance licensing within a designated timeframe if not already licensed

Job Specifics:

Paid Training, competitive compensation and benefits, team building events, half days on Fridays through the summer and the work-life balance you have been looking for!

  • Reports to the office in New Bern, NC
  • Potential Salary: $40-50k
  • Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8a-5p (off at 1p during the summer every other week)
  • Benefits offered after probationary period: Health, Vision, Dental, Critical Illness, Accident, Short-Term Disability
