the Mammography Tech performs diagnostic mammographic procedures and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their mammogram and participates in CQI activities.

  • Certification by the American Registry of RadiologicTechnologist (AART) in radiography and certified/board eligible in mammography(required).

  • Certified in the State of California to practice andadminister radiation (required).

  • Current BCLS certification (required).

  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and inwriting. (required).

  • Thorough understanding of breast anatomy, positioning(required).

  • Basic computer knowledge (preferred).

  • Ability to operate mammography equipment and stereotacticlocalization devices (required).
