Responsibilities

WellStar Medical Group is seeking a Stroke Neurohospitalist to join our Neurosciences team at WellStar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, Georgia. 7 on/7 off schedule.

Kennestone Regional Medical Center provides comprehensive neurological care with 24/7 neurointerventional, neurosurgical, neuroradiology and neurology services. The facilities include a 23 bed integrated neurological ICU, the busiest emergency room in the state of Georgia with over 2,000 patients with stroke presenting to the health system. The Neuroscience group is supported by midlevel providers, stroke coordinator, research coordinators and an integrated physician core group of neurosurgeons and neurologists. The WellStar Research Institute supports physician initiated, NIH and industry sponsored clinical trials.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree with a clinical residency in neurology

State of Georgia Medical Licensure

DEA License

Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
