Position Summary:

Performs various ultrasound procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice of a ultrasound technologist.

Reports to: Director of Medical Imaging

FLSA: Non-exempt

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Education Graduate of a Program in Discipline- required

Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology program. **Proof of accreditation would be required for the year of graduation on hire Drag Edit Delete

Minimum Education Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate. Drag Edit Delete

Required Skills Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.

Registry: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer R.D.M.S. within 1 year of hire in: Abdomen (AB), Breast (BR), OB (OB), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT). OR A.R.R.T. - Ultrasound within 1 year of hire. Drag Edit Delete

Minimum Work Experience Two years work experience in hospital setting (clinical rotation is not applicable) in sonography or radiology preferred. Drag Edit Delete

Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
