Robert Half Patient Financial Access Facilitator in Greenwich, Connecticut

Description We are in search of a highly skilled individual to handle the role of Patient Financial Access Facilitator in our healthcare facility located in GREENWICH, Connecticut. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of functions related to patient check-in, check-out, registration, scheduling, and other related duties. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations within the healthcare and social assistance industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process patient check-in and check-out procedures.

• Oversee patient registration and scheduling, ensuring efficient handling of patient visits.

• Keep patient demographic and financial information updated, adhering to Red Flag procedures for patient safety.

• Stay updated with all insurance changes and adhere to managed care requirements and all other legislated information for Health Care.

• Accurately enter insurance information, verify eligibility, identify and collect co-pay balances.

• Coordinate arrangements for patients who require additional assistance.

• Obtain required signatures and ensure appropriate authorizations are obtained.

• Accurately schedule patient appointments in collaboration with the clinical team.

• Handle insurance matters, ensuring appropriate financial information is accurately obtained and documented for proper reimbursement.

• Utilize customer service skills to provide a positive experience for patients.

• Perform receptionist duties as needed, including accommodating walk-ins and updating registration information. Requirements • Possess excellent customer service skills

• Ability to schedule appointments effectively

• Perform receptionist duties including answering calls, greeting patients and directing visitors

• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken

• Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and reporting

• Knowledge of healthcare industry practices and standards

• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with various departments

• Flexibility to work in different shifts, including weekends and holidays if required

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in healthcare administration would be advantageous

• Prior experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in patient registration, would be beneficial.
