Master Scheduler

Position Summary

Catalent’s Greenville, N.C. facility specializes in end-to-end turn-key solutions for oral solid dosage forms, including integrated formulation development, analytical services, commercial manufacturing, and packaging. This state-of-the-art facility has had over $100M of investments in recent years and features fit-for-scale capacity with potent handling capabilities, ideal for orphan or targeted drug development.

The Master Scheduler is responsible for oversight of the scheduling of manufacturing and packaging operations in Commercial and/or Pharmaceutical Development. The Master Scheduler will lead a team of Material Supply Planners and Schedulers, providing guidance and best practices to ensure the production schedule is optimized and achievable.

The Role

  • Develop and maintain a site wide RCCP (Rough Cut Capacity Plan) tool to measure all possible constraints equipment, people, materials are measured and compared against unconstrained demand.

  • Organize production schedule for the commercial and development manufacturing/packaging rooms and equipment to ensure timely deliveries of finished products.

  • Lead Batch Release team meeting to ensure operations are executed timely and product is released on time.

  • Provide updates to schedule changes and possible impact to scheduled commitments.

  • Cross functional collaboration with Development, Manufacturing, Logistics, Product Management, Planning, IT, and Operational Support teams.

  • Support efforts to maintain a positive customer experience from the point of order entry to the delivery of product according to established business rules across product lines.

  • Synchronize activity with objectives as identified by the multiple work streams to include metrics development and reporting as well as to design and execute cascading strategies for moving production across multiple manufacturing facilities based on capacity guidelines.

  • Coordinate requests for resources (equipment, rooms, people) with development and commercial schedule.

  • All other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent discipline with at least 5 years of experience working with Supply Chain functions and processes; OR Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent discipline with at least 4 years of experience working with Supply Chain functions and processes.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency across applications and systems to include ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.

  • Requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
