Work hours: Full-Time, 7am- 7pm, Rotating schedule with weekends and holidays.

Here’s What You Need:

· H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required.

· 1 Year direct patient care experience involving telemetry monitoring Required or

· Completion of educational program which includes telemetry monitoring Required.

· Other Completion of Telemetry/EKG test 30 Days Req

· Basic Understanding/ability to learn medical terminology.

What You Will Do:

· Demonstrates competency in the set up and use of the telemetry monitoring equipment.

· Collects, reports, and documents patient information (rhythms/rate) timely and accurately.

· Seeks assistance, supervision, or consultation when unsure of rhythm(s) identification.

· Distinguishes and reports abnormalities and initiates action to provide continuity of care.

· Processes admission and discharge or patients in system promptly. Prepares monitor for next patient admission.

· Notifies patient’s primary RN promptly of any changes in patient’s monitor view.

· Communicates promptly of perceived risks specific to patient safety or immediate need for assistance to co-workers, nurses, and physicians/providers.

· Completes safety checklists and quality controls as required.

· Assures that alarms are activated with appropriate settings and are sufficiently audible.

· Cleans all monitors per manufacturer’s instructions after each use.

· Reports equipment malfunction and/or failure immediately per escalation procedures.

· Answers telephone, intercom, and/or Vocera timely and in a polite manner and communicates information to the appropriate party.

· Maintains an orderly and clean work area in compliance with regulatory standards.

· Serves as a patient advocate.

· Assists with documentation that supports and meets hospital and regulatory requirements.

· Complies with personnel policies i.e., Attendance, ID badge, Dress Code, et. al.

· Maintains appropriate monitoring skills and takes steps in own development plan.

· Serves as a patient advocate.

· Take steps to learn and develop own performance.

· Uses Professional Practice Model philosophy to work in partnership with patients, families, physicians, peers, and all other disciplines.

· Actively participates in informal training, development, and evaluation of team members.

· Practices acceptable use of interpersonal relationship skills with patients, families, co- workers, physicians, all disciplines, and other customers.

· Works assigned schedule and adjusts to help meet departmental and patient needs.

· Accepts other duties, as assigned.
