SUMMARY Responsible for the delivery and management of trust platform services across a region. Through this position the management and leadership of trust services in First Interstate Wealth Management will be conducted to meet the long-term trust/investment needs of customers within the bank's market areas. Accountable for the performance of the trust platform services specifically including the client experience and risk management. This position will supervise and lead the trust officers and trust assistants who are responsible for setting up and administering trust platform accounts; retaining client relationships and accounts; and developing these relationships to their fullest potential. Assigns accounts and ensures relationships are managed according to governing instruments, law and fiduciary policies and procedures to ensure an appropriate client experience, satisfactory audits and mitigation of company risk. Also responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and developing trust team members. Provides fiduciary oversight (in conjunction with the WM Leadership and WM Compliance Officer) and answers difficult or complex questions regarding trust taxability, document interpretation and fiduciary risk management. Responsible for review of trust documents and approval of discretionary distributions. Administration or management of some client relationships may be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned. Personnel Management and Development: Serve as a leader, coach, and mentor to a full team of Trust Specialists delivering trust platform services to the assigned region. Create an effective learning and coaching environment for employees. Establish a professional attitude and practice. Establish personal goals for all direct reports. Provide positive re-enforcement and constructive discipline, as necessary. Client Experience and Compliance: Ensures client account relationships are managed in full compliance with applicable documents, laws, regulations and policies and procedures. Provides fiduciary oversight and serves as regional team leader regarding trust platform account administration. Work directly with Compliance Officer to ensure utmost compliance with laws and policies and procedures. Promptly resolve and implement audit recommendations made by internal and external auditors and state and federal examiners. Areas of oversight may include, but are not limited to: trust, eview, special asset and risk management committee participation, trust account pre-acceptance, complaint management, audit compliance and follow-up, annual account reviews, pending, watch and litigation list management, discretionary distribution approval, account distributions and termination, unique asset oversight, fee schedule implementation; document revi Teamwork: Partner with Regional Sales Managers to develop holistic approach to client management and team delivery of Wealth Management and bank services and products through particular emphasis on participating in and supporting a relationship-based delivery approach, leveraging resources in regionally located Wealth Advisor Teams.In addition, this role will require teamwork with trust operations, asset management group and other back-office support functions. Financial Accountability: Indirectly accountable for the financial performance of Wealth Management in the region through the gathering of new assets, the limitation of customer attrition, appropriate expense control and prudent risk management.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in appropriate field is preferred. Qualified candidate will have a minimum of 10 plus years experience in the management and leadership of trust professionals. Advance degrees or designations such as MBA, Master's Degree, CTFA, LLM, JD, CPA or CFP preferred.

Travel will be required within the assigned region and to management meetings and periodic trainings/conferences.
