About the Role:

As a CBRE Global Facilities (FM) Director, you will serve as the key leader accountable for the delivery of facilities management services for a Global CBRE account.

This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Facility Management staff regarding all repairs and investment plans.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

  • Direct facility management staff to deliver service levels within the budget to the client.

  • Review client's strategic plans for appropriate staffing levels to meet expectations.

  • Review capital project and operating budget reports for multiple properties.

  • Create action plans to improve financial positions and partner with Procurement resources to manages negotiations for contract services.

  • Actively manage portfolio to savings targets adhering to CBRE contractual commitments

  • Work closely with Account Finance and Operations to follow proper change control procedures for scope adjustments.

  • Lead Due Diligence, Baselining, and Business Case exercises for potential new site(s)

  • Ensure Facility Managers understand commercial terms of contract and impact to day-to-day business.

  • Review various facilities management reports.

  • Meet with client management team and appropriate departments to discuss, and resolve discrepancies.

  • Apply deep knowledge of multiple disciplines, broad industry knowledge, and commercial awareness. Drive financial and functional performance within disciplines and across business.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Negotiate with senior management, customers, and external parties of divergent interests to reach an agreement of strategic importance while being guided by the business segment and the organization's functional strategy.

  • Conceptualize new methods, techniques, processes, and standards across job disciplines or functions.

  • Direct the resolution of highly complex or unusual business problems by applying advanced critical thinking.

  • Up to 40% Travel expected.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 12-15 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.

  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.

  • Experience with Facilities Management contracts with savings targets highly preferred

  • Technical experience to build site-level budgets and business cases/solutions required

  • Experience with P&L management preferred

  • Ability to exchange sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.

  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Expert organizational skills with an unrivaled inquisitive mindset.
