UC Health is hiring a per-diem Cardiac Sonographer for the Echo Lab at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The Cardiac Sonographer will support UC Medical Center's Echo Lab by delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures. Education and Experience Requirements:

• Completion of a two-year Allied Health degree and successful completion of a 12 month CAAHEP approved School of Ultrasound Technology, or Cardiovascular Technology, or equivalent education.
• Work requires sufficient education/training to acquire American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) certification in cardiac ultrasound, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
• ARDMS/CCI Certification within twelve months of employment.
• Required clinical hours to become registry eligible.
• Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency on current practice of echocardiography: cognitive, technical, interpersonal and communication skills necessary for the performance of adult, geriatric, adolescent echocardiography.
