SMX is seeking a driven and talented Cloud Automation Engineer to join our thriving Cloud Services business unit and work with some of the best Cloud Architects and Cloud Engineers in the market. This individual will bring a strong trouble-shooting background, backend technical skill set, and an ability to deploy production-ready solutions for web applications and user interface (UI). The individual will be capable of working independently in the role when needed, able to act with a sense of urgency, and willing to contribute as an active member of the SMX Cloud community. A strong focus on quality, communication, customer success, and results, the individual will be working alongside some of the best Cloud technologists in the market, jointly driving to successful project execution.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirements.
Work individually or as part of a team to deliver high-quality system solutions.
Integrate and deploy custom developed software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologies
Develop, prototype and deploy solutions within GovCloud Solutions leveraging Infrastructure platform services
Coordinate closely with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use case
Use industry leading DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scripting
Document and Perform system configurations development, including deployment of build artifacts across different environments
Leverage Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activities
Required Skills/Experience:
Clearance: TS/SCI w/ CI Poly
Mon - Friday on site support in Chantilly, VA
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Well versed with using version control systems
Well versed with using issue/problem tracking systems
Experience with development in AWS GovCloud Platforms
Experience with CI/CD Tools: Maven, Jenkins, Bitbucket
Experience with Kubernetes, docker, Nexus, Ansible
Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, Bash
