Job Summary and Qualifications

CT Scan Supervisor

We are currently seeking a full-time CT Supervisor. As a CT Supervisor, you must be able to work in a technical capacity performing all duties encountered by a staff technologist and still supervise technologists and ancillary personnel assigned to the CT Department. We prioritize patient care; if you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next opportunity.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain efficient, prompt, courteous service to 5 major areas in priority fashion: Surgery, ER, STATS, OP and IP

  • Offer solutions and develop action plans in response to patient, physician or service complaints

  • Coordinate all daily schedules for your department assuring no service delays

  • Organize procedural workflow to assure optimum efficiency throughout the department

  • Ensure all equipment is in proper working order avoiding costly downtime and unexpected repairs; Ensure preventative maintenance is performed properly

  • Maintain a cohesive team atmosphere of highly motivated, patient-focused caregivers

  • Assure continuous cross training of technologists and personnel

Qualifications

  • High school graduate (or equivalency) plus successful completion of college/technical training program in field of practice

  • Valid ARRT (CT) credential

  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)

  • Minimum of 3 (three) to 5 (five) years of CT experience, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting

  • Must be able to lift 100 pounds and carry 50

We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. We have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement and inpatient rehabilitation.
