Robert Half Attorney/Lawyer in Berkley, Michigan

Description We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Attorney/Lawyer specializing in Medical Malpractice to join our team in Berkley, Michigan. As an Attorney/Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of medical malpractice cases, conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and communicating with medical experts. This role also requires excellent writing skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare a variety of legal documents including demand packages and notices of intent to file medical malpractice claims.

• Conduct legal research and draft facilitation and/or case evaluation summaries.

• Prepare and conduct depositions, including preparing witnesses, defending depositions, and conducting depositions.

• Write motions and briefs for court proceedings and respond to opposing motions and briefs with persuasive arguments.

• Communicate with medical experts to obtain expert opinions and facilitate expert reviews.

• Summarize complex medical records for use in legal proceedings.

• Manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.

• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

• Provide comprehensive litigation support to partners by assisting with additional tasks as requested to ensure smooth workflow and effective case management. Requirements • Must possess a Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school

• Active and valid license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction

• Experience in medical malpractice law, demonstrating extensive knowledge and understanding of related legal procedures and regulations

• Proven track record in litigation with strong negotiation skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret laws and formulate legal strategies

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines

• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and high ethical standards

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

• Proficiency in using legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
