Responsibilities

The WellStar Leadership Development department is hiring a Organizational Development Consultant to join its team.The Organizational Development consultant provides a range of consultation services to organizational leaders on the development and implementation of key strategies and training for creating and sustaining a high performing organization. Works collaboratively with HR Leaders and Consultants and other OL Team to identify needs, determine appropriate interventions, support system initiatives, and implement strategies that will increase business and organizational performance. Creates and implements system leadership development programs that support the organization’s objectives and foster a highly effective management and leadership structure. Is knowledgeable about the roles of engagement, collaboration, coaching, and retention in high performing organizations.

Identifies issues and trends, recommends improvements, and facilitates change using a collaborative approach involving organizational learning, other human resources centers of excellence and other stakeholders as necessary. Supports the integration of corporate initiatives and objectives into business unit operations. The consultant applies the principles and practices of organizational development and human resource management to contribute to the success of the health system.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education : Master’s degree required, preferably in Organizational Development, Psychology, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Adult Education or related field.

Required Minimum Certifcation : N/A

Required Minimum Experience : Minimum 3-5 years of experience in internal consulting working with managers, management consulting, organizational development, change management or a related field; Experience in a complex multi-site organization in an intermediate to large size organization (5,000 to 10,000 FTE’s). Healthcare experience preferred.

Required Minimum Skills : Demonstrated knowledge of OD theories, philosophies and methods, adult learning styles and interactive teaching methods, coaching and consulting with individuals and teams, change management theory, organizational and needs analysis, principles of customer service, and employee engagement theories.
