Corus Health Hospice Quality Assurance Nurse (RN) (LPN) in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Audits clinical documentation to ensure quality regulations and measures are being met.

  • Assists in the preparation and implementation of policies and procedures which meet Medicare, Medicaid, accreditation standards and state and local laws.

  • Participates in administrative functions related to quality programs/functions as assigned.

  • Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient related information.

  • Serves as a resource person to employees.

  • Assists in the investigation and reporting of any problem relating to patient care and/or policies and procedures.

  • Assists in the development of QAPI activities with appropriate data collection, aggregation, analysis, taking action and reporting of results according to Hospice's QAPI plan(s).

  • Conducts needs assessments using a variety of Strategic tools.

  • Delivers competence based programs for staff with a focus upon improvement of skills and retention of knowledge.

  • Prepares short and long-term planning and programs to address identified needs.

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Current and unencumbered license to practice as an LPN or RN

  • Minimum of three (3) years of home health and/or hospice nursing experience

  • Experience in Quality Assurance and Compliance preferred

  • Current CPR certification

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license with no DUI's, revocations, or suspensions in the last 5 years

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
